Cloud computing can simplify IT management and decrease company expenses.
If there is something in the cloud, it will be obtained online through the internet. Cloud computing enables you to log in to internet IT resources-generally by logging in to a website with a username and password-rather than handling them in your business.
Essentially, you take advantage of computing energy outside of your company, rather than depending on pcs in your company.
This has two main benefits:
- Lower capital expenditure. There are no costly upfront expenses for hardware or software. You only pay your cloud computing provider a monthly premium.
- Reduced danger. Management and support are the responsibility of the service provider. If something goes wrong, just call them.
You need a laptop and a secure internet connection to access cloud computing facilities. Cloud computing is a broad term that is also sometimes referred to as application hosting, hosting services or software as a service.

Collaboration tools. These centralized facilities, which enable you to share, handle and monitor modifications to files, are perfect for cloud computing. Examples include Basecamp, Trello and SharePoint hosted by Microsoft.
Office software. You can log in to a website that works like a word processor-and also save papers online. Microsoft is offering Office 365, an online version of its strong Office software.
Accounting software. There are several online accounting services that allow you to handle your finances internet. They include Sage, QuickBooks, and Xero.
Cloud computing is well suited to services that are used by several individuals in your business (such as your CRM scheme or a collaborative tool). It’s also perfect when you need to provide access from multiple places or when it’s essential to maintain information off-site.
Some facilities are less suitable. For example, when installed on an individual computer, picture and video editing software still operates best.
